Exciting news for skilled trade workers! 🇨🇦 On October 23, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 1,800 candidates to apply for permanent residency through a category-based Express Entry draw. The focus was on trade occupations, and candidates with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 433 or higher received Invitations to Apply (ITAs). ⚒️
This is the first trade-focused draw since July, showing IRCC’s commitment to welcoming more skilled workers to Canada. The department has been holding multiple draws each week, reflecting its strategy to meet immigration targets. Earlier in the week, other draws took place for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). 🍁
As the demand for skilled workers grows, Canada continues to pave the way for temporary residents to transition to permanent status. The upcoming Immigration Levels Plan will set new targets for 2025-2027, expected to be released by November 1. 📅
